thankful

it's that time of year where we all tell what we're thankful for. so here it goes ::
*first and foremost, i'm most thankful for God sending His Son to die on the cross for my sins. Lord knows i'm not perfect and i sure do need His forgiveness every day.
*my husband - how blessed i am that God chose him for me. he washes dishes, vaccuums, rubs my feet every night, and loves me for who i am.
*my family - (especially my mom, who's my best friend in the entire world) they've already started to "shower" me with gifts for jake. they are supportive, loving, and are great cooks.
*our sweet baby - i'm such a planner and wasn't wanting to get pregnant until around august. God had different plans...perfect plans...for josh and i. we are so thankful for jake.
*my job - i love my job!! (there are those days where i ask myself "what the heck am i a teacher for" - but those are few and far between) i love being around their sweet little faces and watching them learn new things. i especially am blessed this year because i have such a good class. they are well behaved...hence the cupcakes above...they deserved them.
*the basic necessities - a house, heat (or air), a car, clothes, food on the table - are all basic needs that all so often go unmentioned. i am truly thankful for these because some people aren't as fortunate as i am.
as i asked my students today what they were thankful for, i didn't get your typical answers. they were thankful for their families, houses, food, etc. how mature. i hope that you stop and think about what you're thankful for this thanksgiving. i, myself, have so much to be thankful for.
