i took the day off today because momma is sick and can't take care of jake and allie. no big deal. not to mention that i had a terrible, extremely stressful, emotional and physically draining week at school. so needless to say, i needed a day off anyway…..for my sanity. i woke up this morning (and without being too gross) had to go to the "bathroom." well i went three times within an hour. i figured my nerves were just shot from the exhausting week i'd had. nope. so all you moms know that we never get privacy. so as i'm going to the "bathroom", jake walks in and the following conversation takes place:
jake: mommy, do you have diarrhea?
me: yes, buddy. i don't feel well at all.
jake: well, i can take care of you. i've had that before! and you took care of me!
me: that's so sweet. how are you going to help me?
jake: well, when you throw up i'll get a bag for you.
me: then what will you do?
jake: i'll throw the bag away in the trash and wipe off your face.
me: awww….you would do a good job taking care of me.
jake: well, mommy, i'm just kidding. (laughs)
gee-whiz! thanks kid!!
