today my sweet little boy is 14 months old!! i just cannot believe it! jake is about 26 lbs. and around 31 1/2 inches long. he wears a size 4 diaper. speaking of diapers, he had been getting a lot of rashes on his belly. we decided to just try and see if sensitive diapers would help. and wa-la! of course they did. apparently we still have a very super sensitive skinned baby. he still has eczema and boy is it bad. jake's top and bottom right molars have come in. we're still waiting on the other side to finish coming through. we also saw both the eye teeth on the right side coming in too. jake can't seem to catch a break from teething. we're pretty sure the ear infection is gone. he still plays with his ears a little, but momma is taking him back on monday for his 3 week check up on the previous ear infection. so we'll see if he's all cleared up.
jake took another fall this week (picture above to see). he was walking from our bathroom into the bedroom and somehow tripped. he fell onto the corner of our dresser. it was an immediate scream. (i was trying to get ready for a doctor's appointment, so i was in the bathroom...literally 1 foot from where it happened) it was like on of those slow-mo things....i couldn't get to him fast enough. at first i thought he just hit his face, then i saw his nose....oh my goodness. the blood made it look much worse that it actually was. but once i wiped the blood away, it was just a scratch on the tip of his nose. but the swelling and the bruising came shortly after. i worried because it was not like jake to want to be held for 10 minutes. he just laid so calmly in my arms. i thought to myself "can babies break their noses?" but as i thought that, he looked up at me and smiled, then proceeded to laugh. i emailed the doctor to see what she wanted me to do. and in the meantime, i asked a few friends what they suggest that i do as well. fast forward to now....jake is fine. just a bruised nose with a little scrape on the tip.

9. he likes to climb in the refrigerator
10. he has the most adorable and contagious laugh ever
11. he is very social (just like his daddy)
12. he is walking EVERYWHERE
13. his newest sayings are "go go go" and instead of ma-ma "ma-meee"
14. he loves rocks
